*If you add an American cowboy accent it will add to the atmosphere to how you read it*
Howdy! It is now the first Morning of Cowboy Camp! The start of a brand new adventure!
Before we get to covering today’s exciting adventure we must first cover last night. As thrill-filled as today will be!
Last night our Cowboys set up their camp, immediately after they were ready for trouble and started riding!
Not horses, unfortunately. But Pedal Cars will do the trick!

And as shown here 4 of our cowboys ready to start their Races! (More photos will be shown at the bottom of this post!)
But our riders exhausted from their fast riding needed to rest. And a warm campfire and some marshmallows definitely did the trick! As the following photo will show!

Then some very nice cowboys joined in and helped with the washing up! Definitely A surprise!

Certainly, surprise from leader and parent alike!
Now.. Fast forward, and today is going to be even fuller than last night! More activities and more fun. And the list of activities! We will list them below. But keep an eye out on the website and facebook tomorrow morning for a summary of events today and pictures!
Aaaand to start of our morning there will be…
Breakfast!
Then followed by…
CRATE STACKING!
A test of our Cowboys balance, teambuilding and problem-solving. It may be easy to start. But higher and higher they go. Soon high enough that grabbing a crate won’t be as simple as a few crates up!
Let’s see who rises above others in this exciting and tense activity.
This is then followed by lunch! Which will be some nice sandwiches!
Then after, our Cowboys test their aim!
It is archery!
Let’s see if any will hit or miss the target!
Then afterwards……..
Our cowboys will take unknown territory to a place with water. A rarity in the wild west! And Kayak down.
Some will fall and some will stay up!
In the September waters, it will be a chilly swim!
Maybe the leaders may find out, or not! That may be interesting to see on the blog!
Then Saddle-bags off, hats removed. Wet boots removed, its time to wind down for dinner and another fire!
This week has been rather quieter than last week, unfortunately. But We do have the cub camp coming up this weekend! As well as that the Scouts will be going paddleboarding and kayaking at Stubbers this weekend!
Meanwhile, Beavers did have a meeting today! They had a very interesting and exciting meeting. They participated in My Skills! And the Beavers had a very good time.
Scouts, as well as the cubs, did not have a meeting this week.
The following meetings will occur next week:

A lot has happened over the past week at the group!
A new website, the start of a brand new term, and the start of the weekly blog!
To kick off the term this week was a very cool RSPCA visit!
On the right is the very cute and charming RSPCA dog called Rosie sporting our scarf, making it look better than most of the leaders!
Joining Rosie that evening was Clive who also showed us lots of interesting things about the RSPCA and dogs.
Overall, the Cubs had a fantastic time and look forward to another visit if they wish to come again. We would never complain to meeting Rosie again!
Below are some more pictures of the Cubs enjoying the evening.
Meanwhile, the scouts had a very exciting meeting. We haven’t got any pictures this week, however a very good evening.
It was the radio show! So they had a great time!
To go with this!
The Beavers had a fantastic week! They had a visit from Chelmsford Community Radio! In which they had an amazing time!
So next week is also another fantastic and fun week for the scout group.
For Beavers:
Get ready for some extra interesting and challenging week with testing your skills in My Skills!
for Cubs:
There won’t be a meeting next week as the leaders will be preparing for the Cowboy Camp! Something massive and really exciting to enjoy.
For Scouts:
They will also not be having a meeting.
We look forward to seeing the Beavers for their My Skills week.
And we will be ecstatic to see the cubs on their Cowboy camp!
During the world cub, Great Baddow Beavers Joined their sessions to play some fun games!

They enjoyed a round robin of football matches. They chose the country they wanted to represent, designed their own kit and made their countries flag!!!
